The IMAG is undergoing a complete rebranding. Formerly called the Imaginarium, the museum will be called IMAG. While its name is being changed to IMAG History and Science Center, its staff still refers to it as The Imaginarium. According to the IMAG’s executive director, the rebranding is still a work in progress.

The IMAG is currently undergoing phase two of its redevelopment. The center plans to add a third virtual reality exhibit, based on a real machine at Buckingham Army Airfield. In this machine, pilots would sit in a gun turret and pretend to shoot fighter planes in a movie that was projected onto the wall.
