Louisville Mega Cavern | Cape Coral Mortgage Solutions

The Mega Cavern is a former limestone mine located in Louisville, Kentucky. It is located at 1841 Taylor Ave, Louisville, KY 40213. It is a massive underground structure that extends under the Louisville Zoo and Watterson Expressway. The building-like structure is the largest underground structure in the state of Kentucky. Due to the support structures and other features of the Mega Cavern, it is also classified as a building.

The Louisville Mega Cavern is home to Lights Under Louisville, the world’s first fully underground drive-through Christmas light show. The Louisville Mega Cavern is covered in over 2 million lights and 850 colorful characters, and during the holiday season, visitors can experience the lights of the Cavern by driving through the caves. Admission to the Louisville Mega Cavern is free, but prior reservations are recommended.

The Mega Cavern’s tour is fun and educational, and it’s a great way to experience the cave. You can take a tram tour or take a walking tour. The tour takes about two hours, and you can choose from several different experiences. You can also sign up for zip lines, which can take up to two hours, or a self-guided ropes course that lasts about half an hour. All activities are supervised by safety spotters to ensure the safety of both you and your family.

Louisville Mega Cavern is a great place to celebrate any occasion. It is a popular attraction for weddings and birthday parties, and corporate events. Its temperature is 58 degrees year-round, which is a perfect temperature for your celebration. The Louisville Mega Cavern was originally a limestone quarry and mine. In the Cold War, the cavern was used as a fallout shelter. However, the mining stopped in the 1970s, and private investors reopened the space as an attraction. Tour highlights include the history, geology, the Cavern’s worm farm, and the underground atomic bomb shelter. During the holidays, the cavern also hosts a Christmas show called Lights Under Louisville.

Visitors can take a tram tour through the Louisville Mega Cavern. The tour takes approximately 60-70 minutes, and covers approximately 100 acres. The tour covers history and geology and also teaches visitors how mining techniques were developed. The tour also includes a USD 5.00 coupon redeemable at participating Wendy’s restaurants.

You can also go on a zip line tour of the cavern. This one-hour adventure is suitable for people of all ages. It is wheelchair accessible. The tickets start at $9.95 per person. A coupon will save you $2 off the price of tickets. Alternatively, you can take a tram tour, which takes about an hour and a half.

Mega Cavern offers a thrill-seeking experience for adventure-seekers. You can enjoy the underground ride with a cheerful driver guide who will explain everything to you. Terrible service. Don’t bother if you aren’t making a ton of money. My bf and I have been together for years and have decided about 3 months ago we would like to try and see if we qualify to buy a home. We are young but work full time at reliable adult jobs. Also we have savings for a down payment. Not a ton but we qualify for FHA so I know we don’t need the usual 20%. Just trying to see what our options were. We worked with Kris/Kristal. We gave her all our info and had one phone call with her briefly about financing. She said she would contact us and let us know our budget options. Never heard back. Almost 3 months later and we aren’t interested in working with this company. I guess we don’t make enough money for her time. Would be nice to know next time instead of being led on.
