Our Mortgage Process

Applying for a mortgage is fast and easy when you work with American Mortgage Solutions. Here is what to expect from start to finish.

Schedule your free consultation.

The process starts with a free consultation. Begin by giving us a call at (502) 327-9770 in Kentucky or at (239) 766-8344 in Florida.

Discover your loan options.

The consultation gives us a chance to talk with you in-depth about your needs.

This is when we can answer your mortgage questions, learn about your financial situation, and find out about your goals.

We can then share loan options with you that can help you to maximize your savings and convenience when buying a home.

Fill out the mortgage application.

Once you decide on a type of mortgage, you can fill out and submit your loan application.

We also will ask you at this point to provide documentation to verify your income and employment status. If you have a W2, you can use that. If you do not, you can provide us with bank statements instead. This makes our application process easy and fast for everyone, whether they are a traditional employee or are self-employed.

Wait for appraisal and underwriting.

This is the point in the mortgage process where appraisal and underwriting happen. If we require additional documentation from you, we will let you know.

Receive conditional approval.

Next is one of the most exciting stages in the loan process, when you receive conditional approval for your mortgage. You now have a loan commitment!

If pending documents are needed, we submit them.

It is possible that at this point you will need to follow up with more documentation in preparation for the final underwriting review. If there is anything more we need you to provide, we will inform you right away.

You receive final approval from the underwriter on your home loan.

Once the underwriting process is complete and you have met all conditions, the underwriter will issue the final approval.

Closing time!

The most exciting part of the process is here at last, the final step—closing on your mortgage.

After you wrap up the final paperwork on closing day and transfer your down payment and closing costs, you will be able to receive the keys to your new home.
